Green energy and full digitization mean savings for companies' budgets. Foundry Goes Green seminar
Many foundry industry specialists took part in the Foundry Goes Green technical seminar held within the scope of the Metal exhibition at Targi Kielce. The talks about the benefits of complete digitization and renewable energy sources were in the heart of the discussions. The presentation of Anna Dębowska from Luneos Polska on how much can be saved as a result of the energy transformation and why it is a strategic necessity for enterprises today attracted the attention of a broad audience. - A company can take advantage of a wide range of opportunities as part of the energy transformation. The full implementation leads to a complete transition to green energy, which generates huge savings - she said. She offered the example of a company that installed the full Energy Transformation 360 package, including a heat pump, photovoltaics, cogeneration, LED lighting. Thus the company saved PLN 28 million in 15 years. End-to-end digitization improves workflow and allows for quick decision-making processes, including the finances of the firm.
The industry best of the best awarded by Targi Kielce
On the second day of the "Targi Kielce Industrial Autumn", awards and prizes for products and best expo stand arrangement was presented. Smarttech, celebrating its 20th anniversary, was also honoured during the gala ceremony.
The Metal 2022 medals were awarded to; Huttenes-Albertus Poland, Specodlew Innovative Casting House and Zębiec Mining and Metal Plant. The award went to the PLASTMET.
The Heat Treatment Expo Medal 2022 was awarded to EnergoEl, and the Medal of the Control-Tech Fair was awarded to Smart Solutions.
Apart from products prizes, Bożena Staniak, Vice-President of Targi Kielce's Management Board and Piotr Pawelec, the manager of the METAL project, presented TOP DESIGN awards and prizes for the best expo stand; EUROCAST was pronounced the winner. The awards in this category went to the following companies: ASK CHEMICALS, BARABASZ, JAK, HUTTENES - ALBERTUS Poland.
TOP DESIGN AWARD t CONTROL-TECH was bestowed to Smart Solutions. Comtec3d received the award in this category.
Awards of the Foundry Commission of the Polish Academy of Sciences presented
On the first day of the "Targi Kielce Industrial Autumn," there was a meeting of the Katowice branch of the Foundry Commission of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Prizes and awards were presented to the winners. Professor Wacław Sakwa awards for the best master's and engineering thesis in foundry engineering were bestowed.
Companies' development and strengthening market position depend on the implementation
of digital transformation in a given company. "How to introduce an effective digital transformation in a production company? " - the seminar organized by the Enterprise Europe Network Centre at the Staropolska Chamber of Industry and Commerce was chaired by Michał Żelichowski, who emphasized that digital transformation is a necessity, but it can only be achieved in small steps.
